A Napkin and A Tissue card

Friday has finally arrived. I hope you have some wonderful plans for the weekend. My daughter and granddaughter only have a few days left to visit. We have some fun things planed next week before they head out.
I have been working on some cards. Here are the two cards, one is with a napkin and the other is with tissue paper.

The " Thinking of you" card is made from a napkin. I picked up this napkin because I loved the the colors of the napkin and the scene. I ironed the napkin onto card stock then cut around the flowers. I doubled layered the background and added a ribbon. So easy!!! It is a 5x5 card.

I found the most beautiful 1920 inspired tissue paper. The black and cream color scheme  just screamed anniversary card. So I made a 5x7 anniversary card. I used the cut shape that I used in the flower card on my last post. This time tho I used the other side that I cut off on the inside.
I took organza ribbon removed the wire and wet it. I then scrunched it up and let it dry. I then ironed it flat. This gave my ribbon that seam binding vintage look. It was prefect for the look I was going for with this card.

Enjoy your weekend!
Happy Crafting and thanks for stopping by my blog. It is much appreciated.

  4. Thanks for stopping by my blog. I look for tissue paper anywhere they sale bags. Walmart, target,Tuesday Morning, Tjmaxx and party supply stores.
Really cute pattern tissue paper is harder to find than napkins. But they are out there. Good luck on finding yours!

  5. Just love your tissue paper cards, also your other cards are really great. Warm wishes from a cold South Africa.

  6. Thank you Ursula for stopping by my blog. It is very hot these days in Texas. It was 102 yesterday. There is no rain in site. So I think I will stay inside and craft until fall!
Have you made a tissue card? I hope that you do and you share it with us.

  7. Terri; I love your napkin/tissue cards! Great thought and placement. It would be great also to exchange napkins.
