Birdie Birthday Card

Helllllllooooo Everyone.
Oh how I have missed my little blog. I still dont have my computer up and running.  It has been a nightmare trying to post on my blog. It is time to buy another computer since mine is truly dead.. Problem is my car also decided it needed a new head gasket. So between the two disasters I have been very busy and very poor. But today I have a post ready to go. I am hoping to get back to making some videos very soon.

My job at Joann's is keeping me busy too. I am trying to teach the new Expression 2 machine for Joann's, it is not my favorite Cricut but I'm trying to be positive. I still haven't warmed up to the E2 100% but I'm liking it better than I even thought I would!

Ok ..enough about me and lets look at this 5x7 card I made for a friends birthday. I cut out a rectangle from the middle of the card ( app. 3x4) I then used my much loved K and Co die cuts along the edge of the rectangle. I then cut a piece of yellow vellum to cover the opening. I glued the vellum on the inside  front of the card. I stamped the Happy Birthday on the inside so that you could see it through the vellum. I wish I had another pic of the front of the card showing you how well you can see the sentiment on the inside through the vellum.
This is an easy card to make due to the beautiful die cuts.

Thanks for stopping by. If you came from the CAD blog THANK YOU for coming by my blog. If you haven't been to the CAD blog be sure and stop by. Today I am the designer there but we have a different card everyday. Great ideas  can be found there.   http://cardadayblog.blogspot.com/

Computer problems..grrrrrrrrr

Hello Everyone... I am back.. sort of
Oh, how I have missed my little blog. I  have had so  many many computer problems. I have been unable to post a blog for awhile. I have so many things I have wanted to share with you. There are several cards I am hoping to get posted within the next few weeks depending if my computer can be fixed or it will need to be replace.

I have been busy with several projects. My Joann's classes are going well and I am enjoying them. I have also been busy with a card minstry at my church. I am in charge of sending out cards to the members of my church. Most of the cards we send out are for sympathy , get well and " we are praying for you". It has been so much fun to make the cards with the ladies from my church. The pics you see here are from our first meeting. So far we are getting some great feed back.

I have missed posting my cards and making the videos for the blog. I am hoping to get back on track as soon as possible, I have missed all of ya'll.
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog.

Little Boat Invite Card

Helloooooo Everyone. I'm so happy to be blogging again. I have missed my little blog on the world wide web!!!   Today I have the privilege to be the designer on the Card A Day Blog  http://cardadayblog.blogspot.com/
The theme today is invitations. I have a cute little boat invite for you to make. This would be a really cute Kids party invite or if your lucky enough to have a lake house... a wonderful invite to a lake party!!

I used Paper Doll Dress up cart for the sail boat. The boat was cut out 3 times at 6 inches. 2 in white card stock and 1 in brown card stock. I ran the bottom of the boat cut out (in brown card stock) through a embossing folder ( wood grain). I cut the two  white sails off the two sailboat cut outs. I glued the first one on top of the brown card stock. That is where I stamped the invite information. I than cut the second one and used a brad to attach it to the top of the sail. That way the sail moves and exposes the invite information. I hand cut the blue flag and then glued it on top of the brown card stock. Easy Peasy!!!

I used a stamp from my stash for the invite info. These  type of stamps are a good standard stamp to have in your stash.
You could make a tons of these invites very quickly.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I am so happy that I get to share my love of card making with you. I have a handful of cards waiting to be posted. So I hope to get to that this week.

Personal note:
I have started a wonderful ministry at my church. We are calling in Made with Love Card Ministry. I am in charge of making and sending out cards to people in our church. We have a membership of 700. I will be sending out cards for Illness, deaths, prayers, encouragement or any other reasons people need a happy reminder they are loved and are being prayed for.
I do have some help with this wonderful adventure. There are a handful of ladies in my church who were eager to come on board when I was putting all this together. I am so thankful to have their help. I will be making a post about all this sometimes this week. As soon as life gets out of the way and lets me post!

Flower Shaped Birthday Card

Helooooo everyone.. So happy to have you stop by my blog today. I made this cute little flower shaped birthday card for my friend Daisys 50th birthday.

I used a Xyron Shapez made by Spellbinder flower  metal die to make my card base and decorate the front of my card. The leaves were a spellbinders metal die too.
The card base was made using the largest of the 5 dies. I placed the die just slightly off the top of the folded card stock. Then ran it through my cuddle bug.

This gives me a great folded card. That is already cut in the flower shape. I then cut all 5 layers of the die cut  for my flowers. I alternated light and dark card stock to make my flower.

I placed the leaves on the card stock first then layered my flower cuts. The lovely bird is a diecut from K and Co.

I hope you enjoy making this card as much as I did. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog!

May you find comfort in Gods love

Hello everyone!!!
I know, I know....... its been awhile since I've posted on my blog. I have had computer problems, car problems, work problems and personal problems. It seems "problems" are the common denominator!!! But we are going to forgo the whining and get to the fun part of life.......  CARD making.
Today I have a card posted on the CADB. Its a very simple sympathy card. If you came over to my blog from the CADB.. Thank you and welcome.
I used a mustered color card stock for my card base.It is an A2 card. I cut the Bible die cut from a Cricut Cartridge called Inspired heart. This is a cart that is sold only at Walmart. I gave $20 for this cart and I wasn't that happy with it, even at that price. There are a few cuts that would be good for Christmas cards. Other wise im not sure what else you can do with this cart.  It is a religious cart. Just not well done. I've read they have come out with another Religious cart. Maybe I will check that one out.

The Bible was cut at 4 inches in grey card stock. I cut a strip of patterend paper for the bottom of the card. That was at 1 1/2 by 4. I have a great stamp that says " May you find comfort in Gods love" I stamped that on the bottom right on the front. Sorry the pic is not in focus and way to lite. My camera is losing it touch :)   I think its time for a new one.
Thank you so much for stopping by my bog. I have so much news to share with you. I hope to find time this weekend to put a blog post together. I want to share with you what I have been up too. I am very excited about my new adventure. I have been doing lots of card making. There just hasnt been time to Blog about it. But I will make time this weekend.
