Helloooooo Everyone. I'm so happy to be blogging again. I have missed my little blog on the world wide web!!! Today I have the privilege to be the designer on the Card A Day Blog http://cardadayblog.blogspot.com/
The theme today is invitations. I have a cute little boat invite for you to make. This would be a really cute Kids party invite or if your lucky enough to have a lake house... a wonderful invite to a lake party!!
I used Paper Doll Dress up cart for the sail boat. The boat was cut out 3 times at 6 inches. 2 in white card stock and 1 in brown card stock. I ran the bottom of the boat cut out (in brown card stock) through a embossing folder ( wood grain). I cut the two white sails off the two sailboat cut outs. I glued the first one on top of the brown card stock. That is where I stamped the invite information. I than cut the second one and used a brad to attach it to the top of the sail. That way the sail moves and exposes the invite information. I hand cut the blue flag and then glued it on top of the brown card stock. Easy Peasy!!!
I used a stamp from my stash for the invite info. These type of stamps are a good standard stamp to have in your stash.
You could make a tons of these invites very quickly.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I am so happy that I get to share my love of card making with you. I have a handful of cards waiting to be posted. So I hope to get to that this week.
Personal note:
I have started a wonderful ministry at my church. We are calling in Made with Love Card Ministry. I am in charge of making and sending out cards to people in our church. We have a membership of 700. I will be sending out cards for Illness, deaths, prayers, encouragement or any other reasons people need a happy reminder they are loved and are being prayed for.
I do have some help with this wonderful adventure. There are a handful of ladies in my church who were eager to come on board when I was putting all this together. I am so thankful to have their help. I will be making a post about all this sometimes this week. As soon as life gets out of the way and lets me post!
