4 Part Tag Card

I'm hoping everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We had beautiful day here in Texas. Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today. I've made a video on the 4 part Tag Card I made yesterday. It is a very simple card to construct. No Gypsy or Cricut needed to make this card. All you need is card stock and a corner rounder. I will be making Christmas cards soon. I have a couple more ideas for Thinking of You cards and Birthday cards before I start on my Christmas cards.

Saturday night my grand daughter Kimmy and I worked on getting my old Christmas tree up and decorated. She had a great time and I loved her helping me. They are heading back to Louisiana  on Sunday and I will miss them terribly. Here is a picture of her working on the tree.

Snowman Wall Hanging

Hello

Thanks for stopping by my blog. My granddaughter is here visiting from Louisiana for her Thanksgiving holiday. We made a video for you today. Her and I will be showing you how to make this adorable Snowman wall hanging. It is a very simple and quick project to make with the kiddos. We hung ours in the hall way from a door frame. The wall hanging would be precious made with a snowman for everyone in the house. You could hang a welcome sign where we have our heart. It would be perfect hung on the front door to welcome everyone.
Thank you so much for letting us show you our video. Kimberlee is very excited. This is her first video.

I Heart You This Much Card

I'm back!!! I'm so excited to be showing you a card I made in my new craft room.

I am out the door in just a few minutes. I am heading to Louisiana to get my granddaughter for a Thanksgiving holiday. I haven't seen her since the summer. So I'm so excited to get this chance for us to spend some time together.

The card I made is such a cute card. I saw this card on another blog and just loved it. She said she saw it on another blog. So it may have been around for awhile but it was a new idea to me. And I loved it!!!

Here is the blog I saw...
http://minimozblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/i-love-you-this-much-card.html. She has lots of wonderful things on her blog. Go check it out of you have the time.

I used the child year cart to make the hands. I used George for the heart. I used Story Book for the letters on the front of the card. The letters on the inside were some I had in my stash. They are about 3/4 inches. My Cricut does not like to cut anything that small. So I skipped it and used some stock letters I already had.
Thank you for watching my video. Let me know what you think of my card.

Thank you

My Keepsake Box

As you can tell I'm back to posting. The reorigination is going slow but I am making progress. I have been working on cutting a ton of  vinyl for all the wall art in my new craft room. I now have at least one table cleared off. I have some of my supplies in order. My Cricut is plugged in and has been very busy. This project however that I worked on tonight, I didn't even turn on my Cricut.
I saw a video on youtube by IluvVintageScrap. Her video is here http://youtu.be/RXcfZjWqWwg. She did a beautiful keepsake letter box. She got the idea from a tutorial on youtube by Micheles Rubber Room. Her video is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m2kArL5ydBw&feature=related.

Here is my take on the box. I made my box with more of a personal souvenir box than just a decorative box. I used an envelope on the top of my box that is a personal envelope that was addressed to me. The card that came in the envelope and the person who addressed the envelope has special meaning to me. Inside the box I plan to keep a personal keepsake from the person who addressed the envelope. This box technique certainly would make a wonderful decorative box. But it also is a great way to save a personal addressed envelope. We get so few handwritten letters anymore. Cards are about the only mail I have received in a last few years that has been hand addressed. How special it would be to save an envelope from a special person  that has been address to you. I cant wait to get one addressed to me by my 5 year old granddaughter.

You can used any size envelope as long as you can find 6-8 other empty envelopes ( new or used)  close to the same size to make your envelope stack.

There are tons of important addressed envelopes. Such as you could use an envelope that was addressed to your teenager, when they were excepted to college. You could use that envelope for the top envelope and make a great keepsake box to celebrate that occasion.

I also did the inside of my box differently then Michele did on her tutorial. I couldn't get the inside of my box to look like hers. But I AM measure challenged lol Soooo how I did the inside was I cut 4 pieces to fit inside the box. One for each side instead of one fitted piece. I did add some sunflower fabric trim to the inside top of my box. Sunflowers have a special meaning to me so I added it to my box.

I hope you make one of these great boxes. I plan to sit mine on a shelf in my new craft room. I do plan to have some pictures posted of the new room. I worked on a video but it just was to shaky. I think pictures of each area will work better. So I will work on that this weekend.

If you have any questions about the keepsake box I made please leave me a note.
